In an incredible article written by Niranjan Rajadhayaksha, he talks about the need for a bilingual society. In a complex country like india we need cultural accommodation and bilingualism is the way to go about it. The inability to get mastery over an indian language has become a boast of many and this lends itself to gated communes, never taking public transport and desperately seeking private schools. Niranjan calls it the linguistic bubble trapped inside a social bubble.
